Loading bays

Sectional garrage doors

Sectional doors are usually constructed of six to eight panels and slide up and overhead. Sectional doors occupy exactly the same amount of internal garage space as a monolithic door. Sectional doors have two distinct advantages over single panel monolithic doors: - Sectional doors do not require any space outside the garage to open. A vehicle may park very close to the garage before opening the door. - Each panel of a sectional door has its own connection to the door track. This increases reliability and robustness compared to monolithic doors which have only a couple of track connections for the whole panel.

Garage doors can be made out of many materials, but steel, aluminum, wood and vinyl are the most popular materials. A few manufacturers are making garage doors by putting foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation in monolithic panel and sectional garage doors

High speed doors

High-speed doors are door systems, mainly used in the industrial sector. They are technical advancements towards the generally known sectional door or roller shutter. The main difference is that the construction is mainly focussed on high opening speeds and a high number of openings. Depending on the intended field of application, Roller or Folding curtains are available.

In the industrial sector, high-speed doors are usually used wherever goods traffic occurs and where the doors have to fulfil higher requirements. In the food industry for example, special climatic conditions have to be prevailed. Short opening and closing times reduce cooling loss, avoid airflow and enable a smooth operating procedure. There are particularly aligned special forms, for example for the usage in conveyor systems or explosive areas.

RTS have again completed a quick turn around in the supply and Installation of a Fire Resistant Roller Shutter and Automatic Entry door for the Disabled, working with Openspace Design and Build to refurbish a Tourist information centre.April 2011.

RTS have successfully completed a referbishment of all the Automatic and Manual external doors and frame work on the Haslegrave building at Loughbourgh University after being selected by CPL Interiors. September 2010.
